세계 22 개 주요국가 수반들의 월간 지지도를 조사해서 발표하는 모닝컨설트가 12 월 성적표를 발표했다. 12 월 조사에서도 한국의 윤석열 대통령은 22 개 국가수반 중 압도적 꼴찌를 함으로써 꼴찌 4 연패를 기록하는 수모를 당했다. 윤 대통령의 12 월 지지(approve)율은 21 퍼센트고 반대(disapprove)는 72 퍼센트로 나왔다. 반대가 지지의 세 배 반에 육박하는 민심이반현상이 다섯 달 째 계속되고 있는 것이다.
당황한 친윤세력은 국내여론조사기관의 조사결과보다 낮게 나오는 윤대통령에 대한 모닝컨설트의 여론조사지표들을 가리켜 ‘그 조사방법과 표본집단에 한계가 있어 실제적인 여론현상을 올바로 반영하지 않는다’ 는 식의 주장을 해왔지만 그들의 주장은 하나만 알고 둘은 모르는 소리다.
12 월 한국 국내여론조사기관이 실시한 조사에서 윤대통령에 대한 지지도가 다소 상승한 이유는 망언과 실수, 오만과 꼴값의 아이돌이 된지 이미 오래인 윤대통령 부부가 그 기간동안 대중 앞에 나타나는 빈도가 줄어들었기 때문이다.
대통령의 추태가 노골적으로 드러나지 않도록 도어스테핑을 중단했을뿐만 아니라 대통령 부부행사에 대한 매체접근을 차단했고, 어쩔 수 없이 이들이 등장해야 하는 행사는 철저하게 기획된 질문과 대답으로만 진행했다.
12 월 국내여론조사기관의 조사에서 지지로 돌아선 3 ~ 4 퍼센트는 대통령 부부와 정권의 구조적인 문제는 이해하지 못하면서 자신들이 지지했던 대통령 부부의 거듭되는 추태에 실망해 돌아섰다가, 일단 그들의 모습이 사라지자 ‘망각의 새떼’처럼 지지로 돌아온 일부 보수층으로 추정할 수 있다. 일부 여론조사 전문가들은 이 집단을 가리켜 닭대가리형 보수라고 부른다.
이에비해 모닝컨설트는 그 특성상 단기적이고 감상적인 요소에 휘둘려 지지여부를 결정하는 부류보다는, 리더 또는 정권의 구체적이고 구조적인 문제에 대한 나름의 지성적 판단을 근거로 지지여부를 응답할 가능성이 높은 집단을 여론조사대상으로 하고 있다.
그들이 지지여부의 판단근거로 삼는 대통령 또는 정권의 구체적이고 구조적인 문제란 다음과 같다.
첫째, 그들은 윤석열 정부가 남북관계와 한반도 평화프로세스를 아무런 대안도 없이 파탄냈다고 생각하고 있다.
둘째, 그들은 윤석열 정부가 미국의 의도대로만 끌려다니며 북-중-러와 필요이상으로 척을 지면서도 미국의 IRA 에 관해서는 사전정보조차 취득하지 못하는 치명적인 무능을 보였고, 이 무능이 초래할 무서운 태풍은 아직 시작하기도 전에 집권 이후 무려 5 백 억 달러에 이르는 무역적자를 기록함으로써 1950 년 한국전쟁과 1997 년 IMF 사태 이래 가장 파국적인 위기국면으로 온 나라를 내몰고 있다고 생각하고 있다.
셋째, 그들은 도이치모터스 주가조작 공범들이 모두 중범죄혐의로 기소되었는데도 명백한 통정거래와 내부자거래 정황이 드러나 주요공범 으로 지목된 대통령 부인에 대해서는 소환조사조차 할 생각을 안하는 검찰조직을 혐오하고 있다. 나아가 이 검찰조직을 거꾸로 정적에 대한 공격수단으로 삼아 반대세력을 위협하는 윤석열 대통령의 비행에 대해 용서할 수 없는 moral hazard 라고 생각하고 있다.
넷째, 그들은 윤석열 정부가 조직된 전문가집단의 조언과 제안으로 움직여지는 게 아니라, 술취한 보스처럼 소리를 질러대는 대통령과 그 대통령을 거만한 손짓으로 오라가라하는 그의 부인, 그 부인이 푹 빠져있는 도인행세를 하는 웬 정신나간 불한당에 의해 좌지우지되는 어처구니없는 일이 벌어지고 있다고 판단한다.
모닝컨설트의 12 월 조사결과 (긍정21 : 부정 72)는 비교적 정세에 대한 이해력이 높고 결정적인 고비마다 여론을 주도하는 계층의 생각을 반영하고 있다. 여론주도층의 부정적 인식추세는 대통령 부부의 인성과 속성상 그의 임기가 끝나거나 도중에 쫓겨날 때 까지 긍정적으로 변화할 가능성이 없다.
12 월 국내여론조사기관들이 내놓은 윤석열 대통령에 대한 약간의 지지율 상승역시 별 의미가 없는 것이며, 악화일로로 치닫고 있는 국내경제사정과 안보불안, 이 와중에도 정적제거에만 몰두하고 있는 대통령 부부의 행태로 볼 때 그의 지지율은 10 퍼센트대에 이를때까지 날개없이 추락할 공산이 압도적이다.
Morning Consult, which surveys and releases the monthly approval ratings of heads of 22 major countries around the world, released the results of a poll in December.
In the December survey, South Korean President Yoon Seok Yeol ranked last among 22 heads of state again. He was humiliated to finish last four times.
Yoon's Approve rating stood at 21 percent in December and the opposition rate stood at 72 percent. The Disapprove has been more than three and a half times the support for five months.
The panicked pro-Yoon group has argued that the survey method and sample group are not properly reflecting actual public opinion, referring to the poll indicators for Yoon, whose results are lower than those of domestic polls.
Their argument is wrong.
In a survey conducted by Korean local polling agencies in December, Yoon's approval rating has risen somewhat because he and his wife, who have long been the idols of arrogance and ignorance, have been reduced in public appearance during the period.
Not only did they stop the door stepping, but they also blocked media access to the couple's events so that the scandals of the president and his wife were not revealed, and the event they had to appear in was conducted only with thoroughly planned procedures.
According to a poll conducted by the Korean local polling agencies in December, some conservatives, who had withdrawn their support in disappointment over the repeated scandals involving the president and his wife, returned back to support Yoon. On the other hand, Morning Consult sample group is more likely to respond based on its own intellectual judgment on specific and structural issues of the leader or the regime rather than the group that is controlled by short-term and sentimental factors.
The fundamental (or specific and structural) problems of the president and the regime that they use as the basis for judging whether they support are as follows.
First, they believe that the Yoon administration has destroyed the peace process on the Korean Peninsula without any alternatives.
Second, they believe that the Yoon administration is unnecessarily antagonizing North Korea, China, and Russia by being dragged around as the U.S. intended. The Yoon administration has shown a fatal inability to even obtain assessment information about the IRA of the United States.
The frightening consequences of Yoon’s terrible incompetence are even before it begins, hitting a trade deficit of as much as $50 billion since Yoon took office, pushing the country into the most catastrophic crisis since the 1950 Korean War and the 1997 IMF crisis.
Third, they hate the Korean prosecution for not even considering summoning the president's wife, who has been identified as a major accomplice, even though all of Deutsche Motors' stock price manipulation accomplices have been charged with felony crimes. They think Yoon is threatening the opposition by using the prosecution organization as a counterattack against political opponents. They think President Yoon Seok Yeol is an unforgivable bad guy.
Fourth, they believe that the Yoon administration is not driven by the advices and suggestions of organized groups of experts, but rather by a drunken boss, his immature wife, who beckons the president with arrogance, and some crazy scoundrel who pretends to be a bullshit philosopher.
Morning Consult's December survey (21:72) reflects the opinions of 'the smarter sample' who have a relatively high understanding of the situation. Their opinions are unlikely to change as the natures and personalities of the president and his wife are unlikely to change until their term ends or they are ousted.
It is also meaningless that the Yoon Seok Yeol's approval rating rose slightly in December. Considering the behavior of the president and his wife, who focus only on removing political opponents despite worsening economic conditions and security instability in the Korean peninsula, the approval rating is likely to fall without wings until it reaches the 10% range.
